Great Advice 👍. These Things are IMPACTING Your Performance! Staying Up Late: Sleep is our bodies natural medicine. Feeling sick? Sleep will help just as much as taking medicine would. Injured or sore? Your body will naturally release hormones to speed up the recovery process. Feeling Tired? Sleeping will recover those depleted energy levels. Limiting your sleep will make your body increase levels of stress and inflammation around the body which can be a reason for increased injury in athletes. Too Much Processed Foods: Now there’s nothing wrong with eating some processed foods such as man made protein bars, drinks, even eating some delicious foods every now and then. It’s apart of life! But too many processed foods, especially when you eat more processed foods than natural foods, could be limiting the amount of micronutrients you need to perform your best and feel your best. Bodybuilding: Here’s a controversial one. But lets get a few things straight. If you’re playing football as a hobby and not pursuing anything more than the semi pro level, then bodybuilding isn’t really a problem. If you like to do it then do it. But if you’re looking to become the best footballers you can be without limiting your explosiveness, then stay away from bodybuilding. Bodybuilding will only lead you to become heavier and less mobile, which will impact your athleticism on the field. Negative Self Talk: Probably the biggest thing you should avoid. It will ruin your confidence, and it will ruin your belief in yourself. —Get Up. Go GRIND.
