Africa Goal Organization Fundraising Drive for Goal Schools in KCC Informal Settlement
Africa Goal Organization has launched a fundraising initiative to establish the Goal Schools Project within KCC informal settlement, Nairobi. KCC is a densely populated urban slum where residents face significant poverty, poor infrastructure, and limited access to essential services. Families often survive on less than USD 2.15 per day, with children disproportionately affected by barriers to education, including school dropouts, child labor, early pregnancies, and lack of learning materials .
While public education is free in Kenya, systemic challenges like overcrowded schools, long commutes, and acute poverty prevent many children from attending or completing school. Further, children lack access to safe spaces for holistic development through sports, arts, and mentorship programs .
The Goal Schools Project seeks to provide accessible, community-centered education while integrating sports talent development to foster both academic success and personal growth. AGO aims to raise Ksh. 580,000 to establish the school, including structures, educational materials, sports equipment, and staff support. So far, Ksh. 100,000 has been raised locally.
AGO is appealing to partners, philanthropists, and organizations to support this transformative initiative that will empower children, break cycles of poverty, and contribute to sustainable community development.
